Alexander McQueen (1969–2010) was a British fashion designer known for his groundbreaking and provocative designs. He gained prominence as the chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001, where he infused the brand with his distinctive, avant-garde style. McQueen's own label, founded in 1992, showcased his talent for dramatic, often controversial runway shows. One of his most notable collections, the 1999 Spring/Summer show, featured model Shalom Harlow rotating on a platform while robots spray-painted her dress, merging technology with fashion. Another significant achievement was the creation of the "bumsters," low-rise trousers that challenged conventional fashion norms and sparked a trend in the late 1990s. McQueen received the British Designer of the Year award four times, underscoring his influence in the fashion industry.
