Aristotle Onassis

Aristotle Onassis (1906-1975) was a Greek shipping magnate and one of the wealthiest men of his time. He transformed global shipping with his innovative approach to oil tankers, founding the Olympic Maritime company in 1956. Onassis also acquired the Skorpios Island in 1963, turning it into a luxurious private retreat. His high-profile marriage to Jacqueline Kennedy in 1968 further cemented his place in international society. Another notable achievement includes the founding of Olympic Airways in 1957, which became the national carrier of Greece. Onassis's business acumen and opulent lifestyle made him a legendary figure in maritime and social circles. He passed away in 1975, leaving behind a vast industrial empire.
