Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth, born George Herman Ruth Jr. on February 6, 1895, in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the most celebrated figures in baseball history. He played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1914 to 1935, primarily as an outfielder and pitcher. Ruth is best known for his time with the New York Yankees, where he helped the team secure seven American League (AL) pennants and four World Series titles. In 1927, Ruth set the single-season home run record with 60 home runs, a milestone that stood for 34 years. He finished his career with 714 home runs, a record that lasted until 1974. On June 13, 1948, the Yankees retired his No. 3 jersey.
