LeBron James, born December 30, 1984, is an American professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the greatest in NBA history. He has won four NBA championships (2012, 2013, 2016, 2020) with three different teams: the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers. James earned NBA Finals MVP awards in each of those championship seasons. In addition to his on-court success, James is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (2008, 2012) and has amassed 19 NBA All-Star selections. Beyond basketball, he has made significant contributions to entertainment and philanthropy, notably founding the LeBron James Family Foundation, which opened the I PROMISE School in Akron, Ohio, in 2018. He continues to break records, including becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer on February 7, 2023.
