Biography
Kobe Bryant (August 23, 1978 – January 26, 2020) was an American professional basketball player who spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. He won five NBA championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010) and earned the NBA Finals MVP Award twice (2009, 2010). Bryant was an 18-time All-Star and scored 81 points in a single game against the Toronto Raptors on January 22, 2006, the second-highest point total in NBA history. He also won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2018 for "Dear Basketball." Bryant retired in 2016, ending his career with 33,643 points, placing him fourth on the NBA all-time scoring list at that time.
