Will Rogers (November 4, 1879 – August 15, 1935) was an American cowboy, humorist, and social commentator. In 1928, he was awarded an honorary degree from the University of Oklahoma. Rogers was a vocal advocate for aviation, contributing to its popularization through his writings and personal interest.
