Biography
Kevin Systrom, born on December 30, 1983, is an American entrepreneur best known for co-founding Instagram. Systrom, along with Mike Krieger, launched the photo-sharing app in October 2010. The platform quickly gained popularity, reaching one million users within two months. In 2012, Facebook acquired Instagram for approximately $1 billion in cash and stock.
Before Instagram, Systrom worked at Google, where he played a key role in the development of Gmail and Google Reader. He graduated from Stanford University in 2006 with a degree in management science and engineering. In 2014, Systrom was listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. He stepped down from Instagram in September 2018 to explore new projects.
