Shonda Rhimes

Shonda Rhimes, born January 13, 1970, is an American television producer, screenwriter, and author. She is best known for creating the hit medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy," which premiered in 2005 and became one of the longest-running scripted primetime shows in television history. Rhimes also created the political thriller series "Scandal" (2012-2018) and the legal drama "How to Get Away with Murder" (2014-2020). In 2017, she signed a landmark deal with Netflix to produce new content, marking a significant shift in her career.
