Aesop

Aesop, a storyteller believed to have lived around 620–564 BCE, is celebrated for his collection of fables, known as Aesop's Fables. These short tales, often featuring anthropomorphic animals, impart moral lessons and have been passed down through generations. Among his most famous fables are "The Tortoise and the Hare," which teaches the value of perseverance, and "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," which warns against dishonesty. Aesop's life details remain sparse, but he is thought to have been a slave who gained freedom due to his wit and storytelling ability. His fables were originally transmitted orally and later written down by various authors, ensuring their survival.
