"家を持っていても、それを置く耐えられる惑星がなければ何の意味があるのでしょうか"
— Henry David Thoreau
Simplified Meaning:
Having a nice house doesn't mean much if the world around it is falling apart. Imagine building a beautiful home, but then discovering that the land it's on is crumbling or the air is too polluted to breathe. Just like how a home needs a strong foundation to stand, our planet needs to be healthy for us to really enjoy anything we build on it. Think about it this way: there's no point in having a luxurious car if every road is broken. If we don’t take care of our environment, things like money and possessions won't matter because our basic needs for clean air, water, and safety won't be met. To make sure our homes (and everything else) are worth having, we must also focus on protecting and caring for our planet.
