Every person is in charge of who they are and what they do. Think about school. If a student studies hard and does their homework, they often get good grades. But if they choose to skip studying and play games instead, they might fail a test. The student can't blame anyone else for the bad grade because their actions led to that result. Similarly, if someone wants to be kind and helpful, they have to make the effort to act that way every day.
