Jocko Willink

Jocko Willink, born September 8, 1971, is a retired United States Navy SEAL officer, author, and podcaster. He served as the commander of SEAL Team 3's Task Unit Bruiser during the Battle of Ramadi in Iraq, earning the Silver Star and Bronze Star for his leadership and bravery. Willink co-authored the bestselling book "Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win" (2015) with fellow SEAL Leif Babin, which provides leadership principles drawn from their battlefield experiences. He hosts the popular podcast "Jocko Podcast," where he discusses discipline, leadership, and personal development. In 2017, Willink published "Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual," further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in self-discipline and leadership.
