Paul Newman

Paul Newman (January 26, 1925 – September 26, 2008) was an iconic American actor, director, and philanthropist. He gained widespread acclaim for his roles in classic films such as "Cool Hand Luke" (1967) and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969). Newman earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in "The Color of Money" (1986). In addition to his acting career, Newman co-founded Newman's Own, a food company that donates all profits to charity. Since its inception in 1982, the company has donated over $550 million to various charitable causes. Newman also competed in professional auto racing, finishing second at the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans. His multifaceted career and philanthropic efforts distinguished him as a unique figure in both entertainment and humanitarian work.
