Priscilla Chan

Priscilla Chan, born on February 24, 1985, is an American philanthropist and pediatrician. She co-founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) in December 2015 with her husband, Mark Zuckerberg. The initiative aims to advance human potential and promote equal opportunity through a focus on science, education, and community. Chan graduated from Harvard University with a degree in biology in 2007 and earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2012. Notably, CZI pledged $3 billion in 2016 to fund disease prevention efforts over the next decade. Chan has also been instrumental in the establishment of The Primary School in East Palo Alto, which integrates healthcare and education for underserved children.
