Sandra Bullock, born July 26, 1964, is an American actress and producer acclaimed for her versatile roles in both comedy and drama. She rose to prominence with the action thriller "Speed" (1994) and solidified her status as a leading actress with "While You Were Sleeping" (1995). In 2009, Bullock earned critical acclaim and an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in "The Blind Side," portraying Leigh Anne Tuohy. She also starred in the science fiction thriller "Gravity" (2013), which received ten Academy Award nominations. Bullock's production company, Fortis Films, has produced several of her films, including "Miss Congeniality" (2000). In 2010, she was named the highest-paid actress in the world.
