Earl Nightingale

Earl Nightingale (March 12, 1921 – March 25, 1989) was an American motivational speaker and author, best known for his audio program "The Strangest Secret," which sold over a million copies and won a Gold Record. Serving in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, he was one of the few survivors of the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor. In 1960, Nightingale co-founded the Nightingale-Conant Corporation with Lloyd Conant, which became a leading producer of personal development and self-improvement materials. His book "Lead the Field" remains a seminal work in the field of personal development. Nightingale was awarded the Golden Gavel Award by Toastmasters International in 1976.
