Biography
Jamie Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop on December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas, is an American actor, singer, and comedian. He gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film "Ray," for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Foxx's versatility shone through his role in "Django Unchained" (2012), directed by Quentin Tarantino, where he played a freed slave on a quest to rescue his wife. In addition to his acting career, Foxx released the chart-topping album "Unpredictable" in 2005, which featured the hit single "Blame It." His contributions to entertainment earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.
