Jd Vance

J.D. Vance, born on August 2, 1984, is an American author and venture capitalist. He gained national recognition with his 2016 memoir, "Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis," which explores the socio-economic challenges of his Appalachian upbringing. This book became a New York Times bestseller and was later adapted into a film in 2020. Before his literary success, Vance served in the U.S. Marine Corps and earned a degree from Yale Law School in 2013. In addition to his writing, he has worked in venture capital, contributing to the growth of various technology startups. In 2022, Vance was elected as a U.S. Senator from Ohio, marking his entry into politics.
