Biography
Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945) served as the Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945. He crafted and disseminated the regime's propaganda, notably transforming the medium of radio into an instrument of mass influence with speeches and broadcasts that fueled Nazi ideology. Goebbels orchestrated the infamous book burnings of 1933, targeting works considered "un-German." In 1944, he assumed the additional role of Plenipotentiary for Total War, aiming to mobilize the entire German populace for the war effort. On April 30, 1945, following Adolf Hitler's suicide, Goebbels briefly became Chancellor of Germany before his own death.
