Tony Hsieh

Tony Hsieh (December 12, 1973 – November 27, 2020) was an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist noted for his role as CEO of the online shoe and clothing retailer Zappos. From 2000 to 2020, he directed Zappos' growth, culminating in its acquisition by Amazon for $1.2 billion in 2009. Hsieh also co-founded LinkExchange, which he sold to Microsoft in 1998 for $265 million. His book, "Delivering Happiness," published in 2010, became a New York Times bestseller, sharing insights on customer service and corporate culture. Hsieh's innovative approaches to business and dedication to community development in downtown Las Vegas distinguished him as a pioneering figure in modern entrepreneurship.
