Jodie Foster

Alicia Christian "Jodie" Foster, born on November 19, 1962, is an American actress, director, and producer. She gained early fame with her role as Iris in Martin Scorsese's "Taxi Driver" (1976), for which she received an Academy Award nomination. Foster solidified her career with two Academy Award wins for Best Actress; first for her portrayal of a rape survivor in "The Accused" (1988) and later as FBI agent Clarice Starling in "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991). Additionally, she directed and starred in the film "Little Man Tate" (1991). Foster's work is characterized by her intense character portrayals and her seamless transition between acting and directing. In 2013, she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
