John Lennon

John Lennon (1940-1980) was an influential British musician, songwriter, and peace activist, celebrated for his role as a founding member of The Beatles. He co-wrote some of the band's most iconic songs, including "Imagine," "Strawberry Fields Forever," and "All You Need Is Love." Born in Liverpool, Lennon formed The Beatles in 1960 with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, revolutionizing popular music. The Beatles' album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967), is frequently hailed as one of the greatest albums in music history. After the band's breakup in 1970, Lennon pursued a solo career, releasing hits like "Imagine" (1971). Tragically, he was assassinated in New York City on December 8, 1980.
