Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris, born October 20, 1964, serves as the 49th Vice President of the United States, assuming office on January 20, 2021. She is the first female, first Black, and first South Asian American to hold this position. Previously, Harris was elected as the Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014, where she notably won a $20 billion settlement for California homeowners hit by the foreclosure crisis. In 2016, she was elected as the U.S. Senator from California, advocating for healthcare reform and immigration rights. Harris co-authored the book "Superheroes Are Everywhere," a New York Times bestseller.
