Robert Frost

Robert Frost (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963) was an American poet renowned for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech. He is best known for his poem "The Road Not Taken," which was published in 1916. Frost won four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry: in 1924 for "New Hampshire: A Poem with Notes and Grace Notes," in 1931 for "Collected Poems," in 1937 for "A Further Range," and in 1943 for "A Witness Tree." Frost's work often explored complex social and philosophical themes, making his poetry a staple in American literature. He was honored with the Congressional Gold Medal in 1960.
