Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg, born on August 28, 1969, is an American business executive and author widely recognized for her role as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Facebook (now Meta Platforms) from 2008 to 2022. In her tenure at Facebook, she played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s operations and helping it achieve significant revenue growth. Sandberg authored the best-selling book "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead" in 2013, which encourages women to pursue their ambitions and discusses the challenges they face in the workplace. In 2012, she became the first woman to be elected to Facebook's board of directors.
