Biography
Daniel Goleman, born March 7, 1946, is an American psychologist and author best known for his groundbreaking book "Emotional Intelligence," published in 1995. This work popularized the concept of emotional intelligence (EQ) and its importance in leadership and personal success. Goleman’s book remained on The New York Times bestseller list for over a year, significantly influencing the fields of psychology and business.
In addition to "Emotional Intelligence," Goleman authored "Focus: The Hidden Driver of Excellence" (2013) and co-founded the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) in 1994. He has received the Career Achievement Award for Excellence in the Media from the American Psychological Association.
