Karl Marx

Karl Marx (1818-1883) was a German philosopher, economist, and revolutionary socialist, best known for his works "The Communist Manifesto" (1848) and "Das Kapital" (1867). Born in Trier, Prussia, Marx collaborated with Friedrich Engels to develop the theory of historical materialism, which posits that economic systems shape societal structures. In 1848, they published "The Communist Manifesto," advocating for proletarian revolution. Marx spent much of his later life in London, where he wrote "Das Kapital," a critical analysis of political economy. His rigorous critique of capitalism and his call for a classless society distinguished his contributions to political thought. Marx died in London on March 14, 1883.
