“There are forms of oppression and domination which become invisible – the new normal.”

Simplified Meaning:

Sometimes, unfair treatment and control can become so common that people don’t even notice them anymore. It’s like a fish in water; the fish doesn’t know it’s wet because it’s always in the water. For example, if workers at a factory are always putting in extra hours without being paid fairly, they might start to see this as just a part of the job, even though it's really a form of exploitation. Over time, everyone begins to accept this unfair situation as normal and stops questioning it. If we look back at history, this happened with child labor during the Industrial Revolution when it became normal for kids to work long hours in harsh conditions, and it took years for people to realize how wrong it was. In our lives, we should stay alert and question practices that seem unfair, even if everyone else sees them as normal. By doing this, we can work towards creating a fairer society.
