John Keats

John Keats (1795-1821) was an English Romantic poet whose work is celebrated for its vivid imagery and emotional intensity. He is best known for his odes, particularly "Ode to a Nightingale" and "Ode on a Grecian Urn," both published in 1819. These poems exemplify his masterful use of language and exploration of beauty and transience. Keats's first major success came with the 1817 publication of his collection "Poems," although it was his 1820 collection, "Lamia, Isabella, The Eve of St. Agnes, and Other Poems," that solidified his reputation. Despite his short life, his intricate and sensuous style left a lasting mark on English literature. Keats died of tuberculosis in Rome at the age of 25.
