Michael Pollan

Michael Pollan, born February 6, 1955, is an influential American author, journalist, and professor. He is best known for his books on the intersections of nature and culture, particularly "The Omnivore's Dilemma" (2006) and "In Defense of Food" (2008). His work often explores the complexities of food systems and modern agriculture. Pollan has been a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine since 1987. In 2010, he was named to the TIME 100 list of the world's most influential people. He also serves as the Lewis K. Chan Arts Lecturer and Professor of Practice of Non-Fiction at Harvard University. His 2018 book, "How to Change Your Mind," delves into the science of psychedelics and their potential to treat mental health conditions.
