Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone, born July 6, 1946, is an American actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker. He gained worldwide fame with the role of Rocky Balboa in the film "Rocky" (1976), which he also wrote. The film won three Oscars, including Best Picture, and spawned a successful franchise. Stallone further solidified his action star status with the portrayal of John Rambo in the "First Blood" series, beginning in 1982. In 2010, he directed, co-wrote, and starred in "The Expendables," a film that featured a cast of iconic action stars and was a box office success. Stallone's work earned him a Golden Globe for his role in "Creed" (2015), reprising his character Rocky Balboa.
