We searched Einstein's collected writings and correspondence — including *The World As I See It* and *Ideas and Opinions* — along with his documented interviews and lectures, and found no trace of this line in any form. It is also absent from *The Ultimate Quotable Einstein* (ed. Alice Calaprice, Princeton University Press), the most exhaustive scholarly catalog of both his genuine and his falsely attributed sayings, which is a meaningful gap given how thoroughly that volume tracks such material. The wording itself — the tidy "Weak people X / Strong people Y / Intelligent people Z" template and the unidiomatic "Weak people revenge" — reads as a modern self-help aphorism rather than Einstein's characteristically reflective prose. In print, the earliest checkable appearances we located are recent and unrelated to Einstein: Carl Vernon's *You Care Too Much* (2019) uses the exact three-part line as free-floating advice with no attribution, and the phrase also surfaces as a 2019 notebook title (Si Arbitrament), while the handful of books that do credit Einstein (e.g., Jerry Pannone's *Survive*, 2022) simply repeat the attribution without any citation. This gives us a strong stylistic case and a conspicuous absence, but no named earlier author and no dated pre-Einstein publication we can point to as the true origin — the line appears to be an anonymous internet-era aphorism rather than the documented work of a specific competing writer. Under our policy, absence of an Einstein source plus suspicion is not enough to name another origin, and no credible authorship dispute among reputable candidates exists here. On the balance of evidence, this quote is attributed.
