Esther Perel, born in 1958 in Antwerp, Belgium, is a prominent psychotherapist and best-selling author. She is acclaimed for her books "Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence" (2006) and "The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity" (2017). Perel explores the complexities of modern relationships, blending her expertise in couples therapy with her multicultural background. In 2016, she launched the popular podcast "Where Should We Begin?", giving listeners an intimate look into real-life therapy sessions. Her work has been translated into more than 25 languages, making her insights accessible globally. Perel holds degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Lesley University, and she frequently speaks at conferences and workshops around the world.
